Just curious what you guys think on this topic. I have a question regarding the value of obsoletes in the future.. Hopefully I can get some members here to chime in and would be nice if we could get some of these "guests" viewing the site to JOIN and SHARE. Looks like the site is averaging 30-40 viewers a day but we still only have 9 registered members.
Anyways do you guys think obsoletes and broken bank notes will increase in value over the next 50 years? Or stay the same.. Possibly decline in value?
I know since the 21st century the Large-Size type notes have been doing very well and increasing in value in great numbers. I believe I read an article about collectors waiting for small-size currency to get its boost in value. I'm certainly waiting... Patiently.

CollectorKing, well speaking from personal experience I would say the obsolete market is still doing well. Having liquidated my obsolete collection (500+ notes) just over twenty years ago I wish I could sell them again today. I have not been 'following' the market but from what I've seen on eBay, Heritage, Lyn Knight, and a few other auctions the obsoletes are doing okay. I can remember when one could buy "Remainder" notes in CHCU for less than $50; today not true. Do remember this, IF you are a collector does the market really matter? IF you are an investor -- I've not got a clue. Good luck and Happy collecting.
