So I have started this thread for everyone here to have a chance to be a part of something beneficial to our community. When it's all said and done I will give each and everyone of you a special thanks and dedicate a page to the great people here who helped.
Seeing as books have already been a topic here on this brand new site for paper money hobbyist, I think this is a good time to bring up fact that I have had the thought of writing a book or series of books for a while now. It has always kind of lingered in the back of my mind. I don't think I am any where knowledgable enough to write a book for the amateur or advanced collector but I'd like to focus this book on the beginner. The person who has an interest in collecting paper money and has no clue where to start.
Id like to include things like where to buy paper money, what to look out for and what to watch out for, other books and or websites great for referencing value, what friedberg and catalog numbers mean, what T an CT mean in the confederate class, what types of money you can collect from small-size to large-size to broken bank notes as well as a little history behind these types of notes, and also the different types among different types I.e.. Silver certs, gold certs, brown seals, Nationals, emergency issues, etc...
So if you would like to share any input, thoughts, or ideas that I can use for the book I would be more then happy to hear what you have to offer. And or anything else you guys think should be in a book for beginning collectors...
I thank you all in advance, and like I said if this eventually come through and I make this dream a reality I will thank each of one of you who helped make this possible..
