Can you guys point me in the right direction as far as references go.. I have been coin collecting for years but I am new to the paper money. I use Littleton for some information but I would like to purchase some good books. I'm into general US Notes at the moment large and small I think that is a good place for me to start.
Thanks in advance

I can help you with that coinstar.. A great book to own is the comprehensive guide to US Paper money by hessler and chambliss.. Also the Standard guide to small size us paper money by Lindquist and Schwartz... These are a great place to start.. Anything else your interested in let me know and I can help you... Maybe steve can chime in on his book he owns that tells you about rare uncommon notes you would never think of..

Coinstar, by all means you need P aper Money of the United States by Arthur L. and Ira S. Friedberg as this is the standard reference for U.S. paper money; 20th Edition is most current. Friedberg Catalog linkI would also recommend a subscription to Bank Note Reporter. Available digitally also. BankNoteReporter info
And if you're going to collect modern Federal Reserve notes (1963 - to day) then I highly recommend Collectors Guide to Modern Federal Reserve Notes.
Modern FRN book link
Good luck and post away.
