A rare error seen mostly on older notes (70's, 80's and 90's), I was surprised to find this error on a series 2009.

Steve- very nice.. You're right, you don't see newer error notes often if ever really.. I would really like to purchase a note like that but I don't know enough about errors yet to make sure I am not buying a fake misaligned error.
Cardinalsfan- Hard to believe isn't it! haha

wow, these are interesting.. Was that really found in circulation Steve? Yes. I'm pretty sure if an error is found while still at the BEP, it is destroyed.

Hey there, just a guest who checks this new site out here and there. All errors are in fact destroyed at the BEP..

I think in general the BEP does destroy any problem or error notes they find.. But sometimes they do sell them as novelty items, like with a case and a little story of what it is behind them.. Obviously the note can be removed and sent to a TPG if you wish.

I have some error notes in mind I would like to soon add to the collection. I'm starting to like errors more and more each day. They are just cool to me, and there is such a variety of errors.. Just gotta pay off a couple recent purchases first I think the next few will be partial missing print, upside down 3rd print, and 3rd print on the reverse. Steve has quite the collection. I just recently went through all my notes trying to find a mismatched serial, but no luck.

Not an error collector per se, just sort of pick 'em up as I find IF the price is not outrageous. You'd be surprised just how valuable some dealers believe their errors to be.

Oh, one more, won this in a Lyn Knight auction last year. It just sort of "spoke" to me, don't ask me why.
